Religious transformation sets the foundation for the powerful book Fire and Brimstone – Reality: To Live or Die: That Is the Question? This very personal book follows the author’s transformation from atheist to Christian at age 56 through a direct intervention by God. It includes the author’s testimony of these events that brought faith into his life. Fire and Brimstone discusses the grip of fear throughout society, and the manipulation of Satan in all the mayhem and sin taking place around the world. The book shows the biblical evidence of God and of the prophesied chaos, not only now, but in the future. Many are living an existence hurtling toward destruction, but the author’s personal verses point toward a saviour, if only people would be willing to grasp this chance. Otherwise, they truly face the reality of fire and brimstone.

Together, Sheriff Andy Taylor and Deputy Barney Fife elevated The Andy Griffith Show from a folksy sitcom into a timeless study of human friendship. The program was fiction, but the friendship was powerful and real."--Book jacket.

“Well, I'm now behind on my own writing, because I couldn't tear myself away from Lesser Evils. Then again, I'm only behind by a single day--because I really couldn't tear myself away from Lesser Evils. If the next one's not out until tomorrow, it's still too far off. And if Evans is not already a name spoken of as part of the true Forgotten Realms pantheon, along with Kemp, Cunningham, and Salvatore, it can only be because she has fewer books out, and thus hasn't reached everyone yet.”— Ari Marmell, author of Agents of Artifice, The Conqueror's Shadow, and the Widdershins Adventure series “Lesser Evils is incredibly immersive and technically brilliant. I love the complex characters and layered plot, and the dialogue is sharp, natural, and brimming with personality. It’s one of those books where you forget about the fact that you're reading a book, and just experience the story as though you were there. Erin M. Evans has a rare talent. She's one to follow for sure.”—Susan J. Morris, author of “Writers Don’t Cry” column on Omnivoracious, an Amazon.com books blog “Lesser Evils will leave you begging for more from Erin M. Evans. Intrigue upon intrigue and a host of unforgettable characters interwoven into a plot that is riddled with heart-stopping action.Who could ask for more!” —Chris A. Jackson, award-winning author of Scimitar Moon Overview: Mere weeks after escaping Neverwinter, Farideh’s dreams are still haunted by Lorcan, the cambion devil whose power fuels her own. One of only four known descendents of the original Brimstone Angel, Farideh has no regrets about the pact she made with the devil. But no one in the Hells knows that she has a twin—an impulsive eager sister, just waiting to be corrupted. At least as long as Lorcan can keep her secret. Determined to protect her sister, Farideh searches for a ritual that could call Lorcan out of the Hells. But in the midst of her hunt, she’s drawn into an assignment for the secret society the Harpers, an assignment which leads her and a ragtag group of allies to an ancient Netherese library deep underground. While the group combs the site, dodging ghosts and magical traps, Farideh discovers a magical book whose pronouncements throw into question everything she thought she knew about herself and her sister. The more the Book gives up its macabre secrets, the more one thing becomes clear—a traitor lurks among them. Read More: If you are looking for more from Erin M. Throughout America’s political history, elected leadership has worked diligently to build a nation “of the people, by the people, and for the people.” Yet, even as American society was being formed, the founding fathers warned future generations of the possibility that the Republic could take a wrong turn from the path of the Constitution, and destroy the original intent of the founders. Today we may be experiencing a government that our founding fathers warned about. What’s more, this frightening trend can be tied directly to Bible prophecy. America is the end time gentile nation raised up to be a “spiritual Israel,” until the days when God would once again restore His chosen people, Israel. America is experiencing change and transition as we enter the time of the end. From the founding of the nation, to the American Revolution and the Civil War, you will discover America’s prophetic destiny is found in parallel stories, Hebrew patterns and prophetic dates. From the prophecies concerning the presidents to the astonishing patterns of the tabernacle and emblems of the tribes found in America and in Washington, D.C., this book will reveal America’s prophetic past, present and future.

Now over twenty years old, the original edition of Nightmare Movies has retained its place as a true classic of cult film criticism. In this new edition, Kim Newman brings his seminal work completely up-to-date, both reassessing his earlier evaluations and adding a second part that assess the last two decades of horror films with all the wit, intelligence and insight for which he is known. Since the publication of the first edition, horror has been on a gradual upswing, and taken a new and stronger hold over the film industry. Newman negotiates his way through a vast back-catalogue of horror, charting the on-screen progress of our collective fears and bogeymen from the low budget slasher movies of the 60s, through to the slick releases of the 2000s, in a critical appraisal that doubles up as a genealogical study of contemporary horror and its forebears. Newman invokes the figures that fuel the ongoing demand for horror - the serial killer; the vampire; the werewolf; the zombie - and draws on his remarkable knowledge of the genre to give us a comprehensive overview of the modern myths that have shaped the imagination of multiple generations of cinema-goers. Nightmare Movies is an invaluable companion that not only provides a newly updated history of the darker side of film but a truly entertaining guide with which to discover the less well-trodden paths of horror, and re-discover the classics with a newly instructed eye.

Nightmares of Terror, continuing the saga that began in Days of Purgatory, is set in and around Dodge City in 1882. Several characters are having their sleep disturbed by dreams that are flares from the past or harbingers of the future. Deacon Coburn, flint-eyed and tenderhearted, aids others and comes to terms with hardscrabble troubles by applying gritty faith. An outlaw is on the rampage; his life has been violent and he's realizing that hell is a real place. A former prostitute is seeking a new life, while a teenager stretches her wings. One strong man is having a crisis of faith; another is in a mess of troubles not of his making. Two women are expecting and due at roughly the same time. A Texas cattleman arrives in the Queen of the Cowtowns to conclude a business deal, which unbeknownst to him, forces a onetime slave to come face to face with a seedy episode from bygone days. All these threads are woven together in a compelling narrative in which the supernatural is commonplace and real. An overarching theme is voiced by Eliza Weitzel: "Faith is all about having confidence that whatever will be will be, and by God's grace we have the hope that he sustains and supports us no matter what."

This is a literary discussion of one-half of Zane Grey’s Westerns, selected to best show the broad scope of this popular author’s interests in the West. The text explains how these novels “work,” while pointing out Grey’s ecological concern for the natural world—its vastness, color and beauty. Wild nature provides a powerful setting but is a determinant of action and of character too. The range of subjects encompasses not only cowboys but also prospectors, foresters and other frontiersmen, from the end of the Revolutionary War to the flapper era of the 1920s. World War I veterans, including an American Indian, are portrayed in several books, and women are colorful main protagonists in others, all uniquely characterized. Grey’s sure ear for dialogue is key to his vivid presentation of the ideals of the Old West.
