90 Seconds to a Life You Love follows a simple formula: 1 choice. 8 feelings. 90 seconds. This book teaches you that if you choose to be fully present and aware when you experience unpleasant feelings. If you choose not to block or avoid these difficult emotions with alcohol, food or denial. If you ride through the wave of these feelings, which will only last for 90 seconds, you will build your confidence. It's called the Rosenberg Reset and it will change your life. You will move through these emotions successfully, be better equipped to handle unpleasant feelings in the future and put yourself on the path to resilience, emotional strength, positive self-esteem and rock solid confidence. 90 Seconds to a Life You Love shares the only neuroscience-based approach that shows readers how to achieve emotional strength and confidence. 'Joan's approach is simple, practical, and effective. It represents a significant breakthrough on the path to success. If you want unwavering confidence to pursue your goals and dreams, then this will guide you to it.' Jack Canfield, co-author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series and The Success Principles '90 Seconds to a Life You Love is a must-read. Imagine what would happen in your life if you had unwavering self-esteem and greater emotional strength. This book is the roadmap, and Dr. Joan is the perfect guide.' Brendon Burchard, author of The Motivation Manifesto, The Charge, and The Millionaire Messenger 'Her ethos is simple: if you sit with an unpleasant or painful emotion for 90 seconds, keeping it in your mind without distractions, you will essentially 'ride it out'. - Metro

StorySpeak is more than just telling stories... StorySpeak is calling men's perfume "aftershave," branding Albacore tuna as "Chicken of the Sea," and telling the boxing world "I'm going to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee." StorySpeak turns facts into feelings. Genius Communicators throughout history know that 80% of the time people make their decisions based on their emotions even though they think they're being rational. That's why you find StorySpeak used in business, religion, education, healthcare, law, entertainment, community, family and profitable relationships to capture the emotions and arouse enthusiasm. The Irresistible Power of StorySpeak shows how the greatest communicators of all time use language to turn facts into feelings - because facts tell but feelings sell. Nicholas Boothman, author of the best-selling How To Make People Like You in 90 Seconds or Less, brings the ancient art of StorySpeaking into robust 21st century application in The Irresistible Power of StorySpeak. His deceptively casual story-based approach to content is engaging, inspiring, and simple to use. When you tell someone facts they might remember them and believe them or they might not. When you conjure up those same facts in their imagination, where they can see, hear, feel, and even smell and taste them they are much more likely to remember and, more importantly, believe them. When you simply pass on information we call it fact-speak. When you capture the emotions and bring things alive in the imagination we call it StorySpeak. And it pays off. StorySpeakers earn more, out-perform, do better at school, work and home, get hired and promoted faster and get better service in person, and over the phone than fact-speakers.

Media planning consists of formulating a media strategy to deliver the creative so as to best meet the brand's advertising objectives, and then implementing that strategy in an accurate and cost-effective manner. Given that approximately ninety percent of advertising dollars are spent in media, a sound understanding of media planning is essential for the researcher and professional media planner alike. Although this book provides a novel and advanced approach to media planning, the basics are covered as well, making the book suitable for trainees. The authors argue that current media planning is still too conventional, that while reach and frequency are not incorrect, they are certainly too simplistic for modern media planning. This book introduces the advanced concept of using reach patterns in making the reach decision, and develops the method of factoring in effective frequency when making the frequency decision. Reach patterns are an entirely new concept. Effective frequency, while not new, needs proper definition and an operational formula for its calculation, both of which are provided here. Other new concepts are introduced and shown to be necessary for choosing an appropriate media strategy. The media planning software, `Media Mania', designed by Peter Danaher, can be downloaded using the following link: http://www.mbs.edu/Media-Mania-Software/.

Digital Illusion represents entertainment in the age of powerful computers and unlimited imagination. Combining traditional entertainment skills with advanced tools and methods in computer graphics and image processing, the producers of interactive games, multimedia networks, virtual reality environments, and theme park rides are reshaping one of the largest industries in the world. As new ways of interaction emerge, and as innovative new products appear, boardrooms from Silicon Valley to Hollywood are preparing for their own heart-thumping ride into some future space. This book is the first to detail the design and implementation of computer-based entertainment. Editor Clark Dodsworth has pulled together key players in the field to share their keen insights and invaluable experiences. These contributors describe first the recent developments in graphics, simulation, and animation that have led to advances in interactive entertainment. Then, in discussing such topics as location-based entertainment, image generators and tools, flight simulators, sensory displays, interface design, and play environments, they suggest how new ideas already are affecting the way we play and the way we live. To ground this discussion in reality, the book describes, with good examples, the infrastructure required to develop the new technologies of illusion; it also explores some of the practical issues involved in designing virtual entertainment. Finally, contributors examine the history and the economics of the field, with a critical eye to future developments. If you are a player in the computer or entertainment industry, or even if you just look forward to a new ride, you will enjoy this book. Digital Illusion is pure adrenaline! 0201847809B04062001
