Do you really need a ten-step skincare regimen? Is that $100 eye cream worth it? And what the heck are “actives” anyway? In this book two professional chemists and beauty industry insiders tell all. Depending on who you listen to, the secret to beautiful skin is microbiomes. Or Korean rice water. Or maybe a dermaplaning tool. It feels like you need a degree in chemistry to even understand what these products are, and if they live up to the hype. Luckily, Victoria Fu and Gloria Lu, professional skincare chemists have done that work so you don’t have to. The science may seem complicated, but this book will show you how simple it can be, giving you what you need to make informed decisions about your skin (and your wallet). Skincare Actives? Technically, cat sneezes could count. SPF? Yep, super important. Caffeine serums? The science is still out. CBD additives? Not enough studies yet, so the jury’s still out. The authors are the creators behind the popular Chemist Confessions Instagram, and this book brings the sass, humor, and solid information they’re known for. Additional chapters address the best ingredients for every skin type, and reveal the only four products you really need.

Take a glimpse into the mind of the modern consumer A decade of swift and stunning change has profoundly affected the psychology of how, when, and why we shop and buy. In Decoding the New Consumer Mind, award-winning consumer psychologist Kit Yarrow shares surprising insights about the new motivations and behaviors of shoppers, taking marketers where they need to be today: into the deeply psychological and often unconscious relationships that people have with products, retailers, marketing communications, and brands. Drawing on hundreds of consumer interviews and shop-alongs, Yarrow reveals the trends that define our transformed behavior. For example, when we shop we show greater emotionality, hunting for more intense experiences and seeking relief and distraction online. A profound sense of isolation and individualism shapes the way we express ourselves and connect with brands and retailers. Neurological research even suggests that our brains are rewired, altering what we crave, how we think, and where our attention goes. Decoding the New Consumer Mind provides marketers with practical ways to tap into this new consumer psychology, and Yarrow shows how to combine technology and innovation to enhance brand image; win love and loyalty through authenticity and integrity; put the consumer’s needs and preferences front and center; and deliver the most emotionally intense, yet uncomplicated, experience possible. Armed with Yarrow’s strategies, marketers will be able to connect more effectively with consumers—driving profit and success across the organization.

Decoding The God and The Religion Volume 1

Decoding ‘The God’ and ‘The Religion’ is written in a format that is easy to read and understand, whether the reader is a 13-15 years old or 50-60 years old, a 10th grader or a post graduate. It caters to everyone in a simplified manner with the idea of not asking one to ‘believe’, but to understand, feel, introspect, explore and know the answers. Each line is written matter-of-factly, which will make readers feel like this is something they already knew, they already had inside them and will hopefully encourage you to look within. Evolution plays a huge part here in this era, so to help you enjoy the experience of your individual journey into the Divinity, I do not need to make you wear the coloured spectacles of belief and dogmas. In today’s time, there already is so much information, and awareness, so many studies on physical and medical education, which are progressing every passing day. Social and judicial systems also get upgraded in most democratic countries, so I do not need to write a lot about it; that would be like rewriting an existing software as religion in a book or this series of books. All I need to do here is remove the coloured lens of belief and dogma, and open all eyes to understanding, giving accessibility to upgrades and updates of existing software, with the right intent, taking the human brain as the hardware. I have refrained from taking the name of any religion, sect or belief, or of their respective preachers, so that opportunists do not mislead people from the right context and intent of this book for the sake of their greed, lust, personal gains and agendas.

Being obsessed with positive change and ideas can propel us to extraordinary achievements and can be a fantastic positive driver of change. In the age of AI wired consumers with irrationally high demands, we need to be obsessed with creating smooth, differentiated, relevant, exciting customer experiences and frictionless customer services. Any of those interactions should be driven by customer data - the pulse of every customer’s unique heartbeat, and an organisation that has adopted new methodologies, processes, and technology platforms. In Obsessed, we demystify the complex world of data and sales and marketing technology. We answer questions like: How do you build a data culture and strategy? How can you be more intentional about the technology foundation you choose to improve your marketing and sales engine across the customer lifecycle. How do you create an obsession for the right metrics that focus on value? How do you infuse Artifical Intelligence capabilities into your organization? Can you see GDPR as an enabler? Finally, we need a cultural paradigm shift in dealing with marketing technology and applying it to marketing and sales scenarios. An obsession with long term thinking and customer relationships based on value rather than short term. And that’s when you truly start rebooting your revenue engine. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Marc Bresseel started his professional career at IBM and subsequently grew further while at Microsoft. A New York Times bestseller! Cofounder of the international beauty company Caudalíe shares the simple, natural, time-tested beauty secrets she learned growing up in France that any woman can use to look younger, healthier, and more radiant without harsh products or drastic procedures. When Mathilde Thomas moved from her native France to the United States to expand her skin-care company, Caudalíe, she wanted to find out what American women wanted from their beauty routines. She interviewed thousands of women and was struck by how different the French and American approaches to beauty were. American women are all about the quick fix—the elusive product or procedure that will instantly solve a nagging beauty problem, even if it hurts, is wildly expensive, or is damaging in the long term. The French, by contrast, approach beauty as an essential and pleasurable part of the day, a lifelong and active investment that makes you look and feel good. Mathilde used these insights to turn Caudalíe into one of America’s top beauty brands. Drawing on her company’s twenty years of scientific skin-care expertise backed by the research of doctors and dermatologists—as well as the beauty secrets she learned growing up on a vineyard in Bordeaux—The French Beauty Solution covers everything from how to use natural ingredients such as oil and honey to wash your face; what foods to eat for healthier hair, skin, and nails; and the amazing properties of grapes and grapeseed oil. She also introduces an easy three-day grape cleanse that European aristocrats have been using to detox for hundreds of years. Blending stories, science, DIY recipes, and tons of savoir faire, The French Beauty Solution is the last beauty regimen you’ll ever need.
