You made it through the elimination period of the autoimmune protocol (AIP) diet, but now what? The Autoimmune Protocol Reintroduction Cookbook shows you how to successfully implement and track the reintroduction of inflammatory foods through all four stages with appropriate recipes and food lists. The AIP diet is quickly gaining ground as the top health-supportive diet for autoimmune conditions. To follow this elimination diet, inflammatory foods are removed for 30–90 days. After the elimination period, the foods are then reintroduced in four stages to see if they can be tolerated. While eliminating foods can be daunting, the reintroduction phase of the diet is the most anxiety-provoking and failure-prone part of the process for AIP followers. Each stage of the reintroduction must be done methodically and carefully so that an autoimmune flare is not triggered. AIP Certified Coach Kate Jay of the popular blog Healing Family Eats eases the challenge of reintroduction by guiding you step by step through every stage. One hundred tantalizing recipes, divided by stage, add pleasure to the process. Enjoy: Spice-Spatchcocked Chicken with Lime Gravy (Stage 1) Pear, Raspberry, and Cardamom Galette (Stage 1) Roasted Pomegranate Carrots on Whipped Tahini (Stage 2) Strawberry Vanilla Chia Seed Parfait (Stage 2) Lentil Ragu on Rutabaga Noodles (Stage 3) Blackberry Streusel Muffins (Stage 3) Vietnamese Pork with Noodles and Roasted Peanuts (Stage 4) Rice Pudding with Blood Orange and Saffron (Stage 4) Along with the recipes and food lists, she offers best practices and troubleshooting advice, including how to handle an unsuccessful food reintroduction and when the next stage can be introduced. Let The Autoimmune Protocol Reintroduction Cookbook be your reassuring companion as you take the next step in your AIP journey.

The way autoimmune disease is viewed and treated is undergoing a major change as an estimated 50 million Americans (and growing) suffer from these conditions. For many patients, the key to true wellness is in holistic treatment, although they might not know how to begin their journey to total recovery. The Autoimmune Wellness Handbook, from Mickey Trescott and Angie Alt of Autoimmune-Paleo.com, is a comprehensive guide to living healthfully with autoimmune disease. While conventional medicine is limited to medication or even surgical fixes, Trescott and Alt introduce a complementary solution that focuses on seven key steps to recovery: inform, collaborate, nourish, rest, breathe, move, and connect. Each step demystifies the process to reclaim total mind and body health. With five autoimmune conditions between them, Trescott and Alt have achieved astounding results using the premises laid out in the book. The Autoimmune Wellness Handbook goes well beyond nutrition and provides the missing link so that you can get back to living a vibrant, healthy life.

Autoimmune Cookbook Autoimmune All-Day Recipes Vol. 4 There are strong beliefs that some specific foods are more likely to trigger autoimmune reactions. These foods contain certain toxins, proteins or molecules that cause inflammation and trigger autoimmune reactions. This interesting topic has led to the creation of a very restrictive diet designed to eliminate all the common inflammation-causing "problem foods" from one's diet and reintroduce them one at a time in order to identify the culprit(s). This diet is known as the autoimmune protocol (AIP). The goal of the autoimmune protocol is to allow the person's immune system to rest, lower inflammation levels and allow for recovery. Once inflammation levels are low enough and the gut is healed, the person can start reintroducing foods one by one, carefully monitoring any resulting autoimmune flare-ups. Since the autoimmune protocol is generally pretty boring, most people are excited to reintroduce foods after several weeks. Table of Contents Why the Autoimmune Protocol? ★ What is Aip Diet? ★ The Auto Immune Protocol (AIP) is a diet recommended for those suffering from autoimmune diseases or pain and with a high degree of systemic inflammation, but also for those interested in a deep detoxification of the organism or in doubt that some very common foods, and normally allowed in other food plans, can be a source of intolerance. ★ Why Aip Diet? ★ It is a therapeutic elimination and reintroduction diet that has a solid scientific basis, created for autoimmune diseases. But also a therapeutic diet to fill nutritional deficiencies, to rebalance the microbiome, to reduce intestinal inflammation and treat the leaky gut, for hormonal balance, to increase antioxidant defenses, to regain energy, to reduce systemic inflammation (and the cardiovascular consequences). The effects on weight control are there but, in my opinion, secondary and a consequence of the recovery of health and well-being. We talk about the Autoimmune Protocol when there are autoimmune disorders or diseases associated with impaired intestinal permeability (leaky gut) with an autoimmune response, such as: rheumatoid arthritis, celiac disease, depression, type 1 diabetes, hypothyroidism, Crohn's disease, narcolepsy, psoriasis, multiple sclerosis, Hashimoto's, thyroiditis, vitiligo... All of these diseases share a common cause: damage to the intestinal mucosa that makes the intestines permeable and causes the response of an autoimmune disease. A healthy intestine allows the absorption of nutrients and creates a barrier against toxins and allergenic substances by blocking their passage. When the intestine becomes permeable, the mucous membrane of the intestinal defensive barrier tears, enlarging the meshes and the toxins overcome the intestinal barrier and pour into the blood causing various types of disorders. Intestinal permeability is caused by various factors, often due to a harmful diet: among the main culprits are cereals which, as we know, contain lectins, legumes and nightshades also contain saponins, substances that can cause intestinal permeability. ★ How does it work? ★ It is an elimination diet. This means that it provides for the exclusion of some food groups to observe the effects on health in the following weeks (3-6 weeks). In the first phase, foods and drugs that could be linked to intestinal inflammation or microbiota imbalances are eliminated. Especially products and foods that are known to cause allergies or unwanted reactions are evaluated. Elimination Phase Cereals, Solanaceae, Seeds, Legumes, Additives, Dairy product, Dried fruit, Eggs, Tobacco, Alcohol, Vegetable oils, Refined sugars, Coffee, Processed foods, Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen, naproxen, diclofenac and high-dose aspirin. Reintroduction Phase As soon as an improvement in the symptoms of the autoimmune disease is perceived, the reintroduction phase begins, which consists of gradually inserting the discarded foods, one at a time according to the level of personal tolerance. The goal is to recognize the foods that trigger symptoms. At the same time, neutral foods (which do not cause any symptoms) are reintroduced to ensure a more varied and complete diet. ♥ So, starting from a concept of CLEAN FOOD, we have created 80 easy recipes, accessible to beginners and not, to approach this food plan, experiment with it and immediately feel the benefits. ✓Enjoy the Diet, Enjoy new life !!!
